Grilled Pork Chop


Ingredients
2 pcs pork chop (about 1/2 inch thick) - washed and patted dry

Marinade 
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup sake 
1 tsp grated ginger 
(i used leftover marinade for the chicken drumsticks)

Add 1 tbsp soy sauce and 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce 
Method
  1. Add brown sugar and soy sauce into a small pot and bring to a boil.  When it starts to boil, reduce heat to low and stir to melt the sugar.  Remove from heat.  Add sake and grated ginger and combine well. 
  2. Add additional soy sauce and worcestershire sauce.
  3. Place pork chop in marinade overnight in a fridge.
  4. Heat up grill to high.  Remove the pork chop from the marinade.  Place the excess marinade in a metal bowl and heat it up as you heat up the grill.
  5. Once grill is heated, brush some oil on the grill and place the pork chop.  Grill 5 minutes on one side.  Brush with some heated marinade and flip over to grill the other side for another 5 minutes or until the meat is cooked.
  6. Brush with some heated marinade and place pork chops wrapped in aluminium foil for about 5 to 10 minutes to let the flavours imbibed.
  7. Drizzle remaining marinade sauce over the grilled pork chops.
  8. Serve warm wtih rice or potatoes.
